- LG Life Sciences will implement the following business strategies to become a bio-healthcare leader that brings health, youthfulness and happiness to our customers.
First, we will strengthen our marketing and sales capabilities in the domestic market.
We aim to enhance our status in the domestic market with 30% sales growth in 2007 through
the launch of innovative products offering more value to the customers, and through more
aggressive marketing of existing products.
Second, we will increase the returns from R&D investment. We will increase our R&D efficiency
by concentrating resources in the fields aligned with our mid- to long-term strategy and our
core capabilities. We will also strive for near-term profits through an open R&D initiative that
fully utilizes active networks among academia, research and industry, and strategic ties with our
overseas partners. In particular, we will focus our R&D capabilities on prevention and treatment
of chronic diseases, metabolic syndromes and other diseases that are increasingly prevalent
in our aging society.
Last, we will implement our overseas market-entry strategies with our advanced products such
as Factive® and LB03002.
